Artist's Description
This is part of my surreal abstract landscapes collection. This pastel landscape was created by digitally manipulating a photograph of one of my cyanotypes (sunprints/ blueprints).
Cyanotypes are made by placing objects on paper that has been chemically treated to react to the sun, and is fixed with water.
I enjoy using early forms of photography and cameraless photography to make organic forms and patterns that often resemble glitched aerial landscape photography or paintings. Digital manipulation and use of a pastel colour palette has highlighted these forms and created a surreal landscape.
